In Memory of Stefan

As most of you know, Stefan's favorite sports athlete was Michael Jordan. A week before Stefan passed away, he found out that after the completion of his stem cell transplant surgery he was going to finally meet him. Even though Stefan did not get to experience his wish due to his untimely passing, as his father who witnessed Stefan simply receiving the word of getting to meet Michael Jordan, I can honestly tell you what the power of having his wish granted did for his spirits as he struggled dealing with his cancer.
Even in the thick of the seriousness and dire of his situation, upon hearing the news he instantly was overcome with excitement, hope and happiness. Even after the Director of Hematology at the City of Hope explained the intense process he would have to endure he still told the Doctor about how excited he was for his upcoming visit with Michael Jordan. Simply knowing that in a few months he was going to spend time with Michael instantly brought him a tremendous amount of happiness.
So, my point is, I personally have already seen the remarkable power of a granted wish. I am a believer. The gift of hope and joy provided by a dream can be immeasurable to children battling life-threatening medical conditions like the one Stefan was dealing with.
I ask you to please join me in this meaningful challenge that I hold in memory of my son. Together, we can help more children have their wishes granted. Just think of how many boys and girls will benefit from your compassion and support ~ you will be giving them excitement, happiness and hope just as my son Stefan received from his granted wish.
Thanks,
Scott
